Today I said goodbye to my Baby. At 16 years of age and ill he let me know it was time to go. It absolutely broke my heart to see him go to sleep for the final time and then put him in his final resting place. Charlie has been my constant friend and companion for over 14 years and its going to take a long time to get over not having him in my life. Everyone that met him seemed to love him, he certainly was unique.

My other dog Jett is going to be so lost without him, she has only been with us for 4 years but she loved Charlie and was so protective of him if any other dogs so much as looked at him wrong.

Charles Livingston Budgerigar Brennan-MacLean aka Charlie, The Chuckster, Chuckie, Chuckles, Chucklebugs, Chuckie Chicken, Doofus.
Almost 3/4 of the way through the mid year break from uni.., man it goes way faster than what it should I think. I swear there are huge cosmic hamsters running round in a wheel speeding up time just to stuff up everyone enjoying their leisure time and make it too short!

Anyways I got the final results on the awful saga that was this semester...I got a credit...which I am absolutely sure I wouldn't have gotten without the fantastic lady who was my partner...I am trying to thing of something really nice to send to her cause she just kicked arse in writing the documentation for our project.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the course coordinator gave me a bum steer when advising me on what subject to do in order to exit with a diploma rather than the full bachelor which would involve way too much programing for my brain to cope with. I found out today that apparently I can't take the last remaining 2 units as 1 is only run in the first semester and the other requires 2 extra 3rd year elective subjects for anyone to undertake it...never mind that this last semester was spent studying crap that is basically used in the damn unit and seems to be what the whole unit is about! All I want is to finish this damn course so I can start the one I need to undertake to keep my qualifications up to date for work. I am so getting over the whole studying experience in hyper-speed mode let me tell you!

Well...its not so much the learning I hate its the damn stupid assignments, the way they are set and the information you are given only to have that information changed that cheeses me off to the nth degree!

My group (the 2 of us) were told as we didn't have enough people (should have around 4 -6) to actually carry out all the activities necessary to meet the criteria we could leave out some of the elements in order to be able to complete the course. Well we did that..or so we thought. When the feedback marking on our assignment arrives we find that we got a "Pass". Personally I think we deserved a Credit but that it neither here no there. What has me steaming is that along in the marking it is mentioned it's a pity we didn't complete more of the criteria. Mind you these were the criteria we were given leave to exclude from our assignment. I don't know if we misinterpreted the instructions or something. But one would assume that when you are told that you can leave out the elements that would have been assigned to your "other" group partners (bar elements vital to the work) that this would mean leaving them out won't penalise your results!!!

Anyway enough of my ranting...until I get the results to the final assignment :)

I am hoping when the mid year break comes I can get some work done with my graphics and maybe work on XX until then I will wade through the marking I have to get done before semesters end.

~Eshal~

Bloody F'n Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!
At this stage I absolutely hate my uni course and anything that involves programing. Nothing and I mean absolutely nothing in my SQL Database course is working.

For our final assignment we have to write three simple queries to arrive at the answers that are given to us. Simple...no bloody way!

Now I know I am not the brightest spark in the fire when it comes to programing but I can't even get one of the three to work which drives me insane and then to make it all so much better I can't get the program to run my queries via remote access to the uni.

I have come to the decision I am going to hand in the report portion of the assignment, it is worth 70% of this particular assignment and stuff the rest otherwise I will never hand the damn thing in. As it is it is already late. Then I am going to study like a maniac until my exam in the next fortnight.

I am definitely going to seriously think about taking a 6 month break from this cause I can feel myself rapidly being disillusioned with the who frigging course!

A long time coming but I am finally getting rid of books and clutter

I am a packrat of epic proportions, having gained the gene from both sides of my family.
My main downfall is books.

I decided that I should really be brave and have a good clean out, in doing so I might also be able to make enough money to get the massive (not to mention dangerous) tree in my front yard cut down or at least whittled down enough that its not as dangerous.

I was sorting through a room of stuff getting things ready for a lawn(yard)sale in the near future and I looked at the boxes upon boxes of books I had stored away.

They were stored away partly cause I don't have enough shelf space for them, the other reason being I haven't got around to unpacking them from the last time I packed them up when a cyclone was heading our way. Anyway I went through them sorting what I could possibly part with. Having done that I looked at the puny pile of books that I figured I could part with and the massive hoard I still had.

I looked at those books I had set aside (of which a massive amount were historical bodice rippers and contemporary romance lines like Silhouette Desire, Loveswept and Harlequin Mills & Boon, Temptations and Masquerade)the others being Sci-Fi Fantasy. I figured bugga it, its not like I am going to re-read most of these in the near future. So I am now currently going through and listing them so I can put them all on a webpage for people to see and maybe buy online as well as putting some out for the lawnsale.

So far I have around 173 book listed ( I'm starting on the easy ones first :) and if I get my act together I should have most of the books done in a week or so. This is the list so far :

Loveswept Romance Book List
The links of the index pages don't work yet the site is having some sort of coding issues

I just know that once I get rid of them and all the other stuff I have hoarded over the years I will feel that wonderful light feeling you get when you have a thorough clean out and reaslise how much crap you actually had! :)

And as I hit Post on my comment, I realised how I had just joined the throng of potential vigilantes who will be out for blood should Goldie the goldfish go belly up. I burst out laughing at the ridiculousness of it all but it goes to show you how great a storyteller the lady is if she can have the audience rooting for a goldfish and a non-speaking non-3d animated one at that! :)I don't think I have had this reaction to a pet or animal in a story since I bawled my way through Charlotte's Web a few years back(for the umteenth time).

Its one of the reasons I love reading fanfic...you get taken places and made to react in ways you may never have done before.

I would really prefer they be with him showing no emotion at all although I can work around small facial movement. They also have to be of a decent size and good quality, I have 1000's of pics of the man, yet none are what I need. If anybody out there can help me in my quest I would be really grateful.

I am sooooo Pissed Off!!!!! Don't get me wrong, I love my work, I think it is the best job in the world and I like where I work...but...I frigging hate the damn pay system it sucks like a black hole!! Not only do they make you wait a month until you get paid from the time you initially sign a contract and not give a crap about the fact you have to survive on nothing in the mean time. They do this every!time! you sign a contract regardless of the fact that you are already in the pay system although you may be inactive, what I'd like to know is why it takes so bloody long *EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME!!!* Its alright for them most are actually full time or have contracts that last the year...I have to go on the whims of student intake and class numbers to get my contract. The either laugh or smile at the stuff up ...they seem to not connect the dots to the reality that I am trying to live here! ARRRRRGGGGGHHH!

Ok I feel marginally better...I am now going to head back to uni to work....which I will hopefully get paid for really soon!

NB: Found out today that one of the office staff got fired due to not doing the job she was hired to, which included dealing with sending certain paperwork to the right department. Apparently there was a pile of paperwork hiding in a bottom draw. This was where it got filed when the staffer didn't know what to do. Everything has now been rectified so hopefully.
